I am a CISV mum and my youngest daughter is, as we speak, in Holland beginning the third week of her Village
Katherine left Leeds on the afternoon of the last day of school. It was a real jumble of emotions for her, not wanting to leave her friends whilst excited about her new Village adventure.
We left her at Leeds and Bradford Airport with her 3 other delegates in the capable hands of Rebekah their leader.
Not expecting a lot of contact we were over the moon with the Amsterdam Village Blog that has regular updates of pictures and narratives on what the children have been doing. My family and I log in regularly and play ‘spot Katherine’. Sometimes we can only recognise her by her clothes or her hair, other times she’s instantly visible. All I can say is, she looks happy, is having fun and seems to be making lots of new friends. What more could a Mum ask!
Here are some pictures of the GB delegation taken over the last two weeks.
