Bag Pack raises £1,000

The branch raised just over £1,000 on Sunday, packing bags for shoppers at Morrisons in Wetherby. Thanks to the great turn out of JB’ers – a credit to LJRs Meg and Becca’s organisational skills – we had packers at all the open tills throughout the day. Thanks are also due to the parents who came to help and to the generosity of the people of Wetherby.

For the record, we collected £1,016.69. Plus 1.32 Euros, 3 US cents and 50 piastres (half an Egyptian pound) – we’ll recycle these to young people going to those countries this year!

Towards the end of the afternoon, just we passed the £1,000 mark, there was a vivid rainbow outside the store. It seems CISV got the crock of gold!
